Spring Reading Thing 2007
I'm a little late on the upstart with opening up a new blog this week, but I am certainly not going to forget about the Spring Reading Thing over at Katrina's. Check out the button in my sidebar if you want to go directly there and join in on the fun!
Here's my list of "I hope to Reads" this spring:
The Excellent Wife, by Martha Peace
Grace in Thine Eyes, by Liz Curtis Higgs
Eragon, by Christopher Paolini (I refuse to see the movie that is about to be available on DVD before I've read the book.)
Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ, by John Piper (started this last fall and got hidden under some other books on my nightstand)
Get Out of That Pit, by Beth Moore (got for Christmas and got shoved aside in favor of Karen Kingsbury novels -- not bad, but it is time to read this book!)
The Witness, by Dee Henderson (lost in a box in my garage when we moved, hope to find it before summer)
Before I Wake, by Dee Henderson (love everything by this author and know I'll want to read it once I finish the one above)
Fear Not: Thoughts On Courage, by Benjamin Darling
Blue Like Jazz, by Donald Miller
Made to Stick, by Chip and Dan Heath (at my DP's request)
I've got many more that I'd like to read, but I'll delve into these first and add more as I can. I'm excited to embark on this venture with so many other bibliophiles out there.

The Excellent Wife is a great book--challenging for sure!
Peach!
I found you! LOVE your new blog! I read the info about the "stickiness" book... looks really interesting. Let me know what you think of it.
Talk to you soon!
Love the photo on your header! wow!
Enjoy your reading.
All these books sound good. Love Dee Henderson and I have one on my list too!
Eragon - read the book, but skip the movie... just from the commercials I could tell that it didn't follow the book.
LOVED Blue Like Jazz.
Your list looks great, Peach! My husband keeps telling me I need to read Eragon and, like you, I won't see the movie before I read the book, so I probably should add that one to my list. Thanks for joining the Spring Reading Thing!
Beautiful blog design! Enjoyed checking out your reading list. Just finishing up Get Out Of That Pit. Excellent. Anything by Dee Henderson is great! Happy Reading.
What a beautiful blog!! It looks just wonderful Peach. You're all set for your reading. I didn't post a list but will be interested to see everyone else's.
Have a great weekend!!
Great list! I've seen lots of Beth Moore books on lists and I completely forgot to put any on MY list, oops. You'll have to let me know how it is! Happy Reading! =)
Yea! You are reading The Excellent Wife! I LOVE that book...because it has helped me soooo much! I was edified and corrected which needed to be done. I'm so thankful. Martha Peace is coming to our church for a women's conference next fall! It should be excellent! I am going to be getting her new book soon...Damsels in Distress.

I've already devoured Beth Moore's *Pit* book. And have recommended it to so many people!
Great list of books.
Happy time with your MIL!
You should definitely read Eragon b/f seeing the movie. You may not want to see the movie after reading it, though. It's quite a let-down. In this case, the book IS better than the movie (which I always think, but that's just me).
AND? I LOVE THIS PLACE! The new site is awesome!
I've read The Exellent Wife. I needed to hear it but at the same time I felt like I was run over by a truck. Be ready! It was marriage-changing for me.
I have The Excellent Wife and have read parts of it here and there, but never the whole thing straight through. I need to do that some time. Grace in Thine Eyes, The Witness and Before I Wake are all good. I keep seeing Eragon listed -- I'll have to see what that's all about some time and also some time check out a Beth Moore book.
Lovely new place here! That picture is stunning.
Just read "Eragon"..don't bother with the movie!!
Hi,
Your list sounds great! I have read the two Dee Henderson books on your list, and I don't think you will be disappointed!
The Excellent Wife is in my TBR pile too (you know, the one that is threatening to take over the known universe!) but I am anxious to read it too!
Great list! Looking forward to some book reviews.
