I'd Be OK!
Spiritual conversation on the commute this morning, after a baptism of a seven-year-old boy took place at church yesterday:
JD Green: "I've never been baptized, and I'm a Christian!"
Mama: Well, why would you want to be baptized, JD?
JD: Well, I know how to swim, so if he let me go -- I'd be OK!"
I think we've got a little explaining to do before John Deere Green is ready to take that all-important plunge.

Happy Monday, Peach! Hopeyour Easter was blessed! And, yes, it sounds like JD might need a little more time *wink* Also, any update on your hubby's situation at school? How's he doing?
Yeah... our boy is waiting too. I want him to know the importance of it and for him to not view it as a reason to bring his swim mask and snorkle...
I know how you feel.I have a 9year old and 11year old. My 9year old says he is ready. I explain it to him but I think he needs a little more time.
For some reason I can not put this site on my "reader" I use google reader.
I love this post!!
That is so sweet. I guess he does need to understand a bit more first, but at least he's thinking about it.
That's just cute. You never know how they percieve things until they actually put voice to it.
Shalee's comment has me rolling. I agree with you, Peach. You might want to wait another couple of days. :-)
That is so funny. Who would have thought swimming was a pre-requisite for baptism! Adorable.
Thank you! I need to journal more-you've convicted me :)
But I do try to write down as much as possible.
Blessings!
