Fearless Friday #12
This came from a devotional I occasionally read:
"When you look at your circumstances until you become afraid it is always a mistake -- yet that is just what many people do.
"The more you focus your eyes and your mouth on the problem, the more fearful you become. Instead you should focus on God who is able to handle anything you will ever have to face. He has promised to strengthen you and to harden you to difficulties.
"No matter how great and important or small and insignificant your fears may be, God is saying to you, 'Fear not; I will help you!'"

What a powerful message on Fear. I believe all of us on some level deal with worry, doubt and fear.
Thanks for pointing us in the right direction!!!
Thank you for sharing this today. It's much appreciated.
Amen... Thank you.

This is so timely for me Peach. I just wrote nearly the same thing in my little devotional today. It was talking about refining, and I had to admit that I think of suffering and trials with a little thump of my heart. I tend to get my eyes off Jesus and focus on the circumstances and then I become fearful.
This was perfect for me to read.
Hi! I haven't visited you in a while :)
I love this devotion.
We spend so much time being fearful (False Evidence Appearing Real). Once I learned how to fight it (using this acronym), it really helped. That, and scripture!
Hope you are having a fantastic summer.
Sandy
Wow, I really REALLY needed to read that right now. Insecurities creeping up on me stirring up fears . I really like how Sandy uses the acronym. WOW! I am going to write that down IN my Bible!
Thanks Peach for this very much needed encouragement!
